What a cool weekend! My dad turned 59 years old at the Waterway Campground in Cheboygan, Michigan with all of his children and grandchildren there to celebrate with him. He was a happy camper... no pun intended! 
I was a little apprehensive about the whole *sleeping in a tent* thing, but it was pretty comfortable. Derek and I had a little tent that just fit a full size blow up mattress... which saved the day... or should I say night! It rained Saturday night, but our tent held tough... we stayed dry! 
We spent the days talking, laughing, going for boat rides on Mullet Lake, swimming, and eating hot dogs, brats, veggies, chips & dip, and tuna pasta and potato salad. Lori made an awesome Detroit Tigers birthday cake! She’s a pretty talented gal! 
Two of the highlights of the weekend were listening to my dad sing a few tunes around the fire before it starting raining on Saturday night 
and spending Sunday afternoon playing in the lake
with all of the kids and then Karen, Derek, Ed, Lorenzo and I floating down the river toward the campground waiting for my dad to pick us up in the boat!

{Good Stuff} Spending my dad's birthday with him and my family spending an entire weekend together without ONE disagreement! Now that makes me happy!
